Foreword: April 18, 2019

Arbor Day is coming up on Monday, and we’re celebrating with our first outdoor program of the year to soak up the spring weather!  (As long as the spring weather cooperates, that is...  Otherwise we’ll be inside in the community room.)  Since there’s no school, adults, kids, and families can drop in anytime between 2-4 pm on Monday, April 22 to repot your choice of tree and take it home to care for.  Choose between Tamarack, Fraser Fir, and White Birch trees.  All supplies will be provided, as well as instructions on how to care for your tree, and reasons why trees are so important.  There will also be an Arbor Day themed goodie basket provided by the Black Creek Advancement Association to be raffled off to participants of this program. We hope to see you here!

If you’re planning a rummage sale this spring, tomorrow (Friday, April 19th,) is the last day to fill out a form to be part of the Black Creek Community Rummage Sales.  You can find the forms here at the Black Creek Village Library, BMO Harris Bank, Sal’s Foods, Fox Communities Credit Union, or by emailing BCAdvancement@hotmail.com.

On Wednesday, April 24th, we’ll be discussing Storm of the Century by Stephen King: There are still a few copies left at the circulation desk for check out if you’d like to read it along with us.  Feel free to join us for the in-person discussion here at the library at 1 pm, some or all of the online discussion questions posted throughout the day, or both!  You decide!  Here is the link to the online discussion: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2168740469821856/?source_id=87182937411.  You can also access the discussion through the Black Creek Village Library’s Facebook page.
