For all of you who have been asking, we will be relaunching our book club this fall, including an online component to accommodate those who are unable to meet in person due to scheduling or other conflicts.  Watch for more information as we work out the details, and make sure to let one of us know if you’re interested so that we can add you to the list of people to invite once it’s all set up.

It’s hard to believe back to school is less than a month away!  Once again, we’re doing Stuff the Bus to collect school supplies for those less fortunate, which will be donated to local families.  Drop off any items now through August 12 at the Black Creek Village Library.

Don’t forget about our Cars Drive-In Night tomorrow (Friday, August 10,) at 5:30 pm.  Perfect for the preschool crowd, we will be decorating our own cardboard box cars to sit in while enjoying a car-themed, animated movie!  Bring a favorite toy car along for our mini car wash.  You can bring your own box or use one from our supply.

Next Monday, August 13th, at 10:30 am, we’re having Legos, Coloring, and Kool-Aid at the library which is exactly what it sounds like and fun for all ages.

On Thursday, August 16th, we’re getting colorful and messy with chalk bombs from 2-4 pm.  We will also have regular sidewalk chalk to decorate the library’s sidewalk.  If it rains, we will reschedule for the following day at the same time.

It’s not too late to sign up for our summer reading program.  While it’s not necessary to sign up in order to attend our programs, it is if you want weekly prizes and a chance to win the grand prize at the end of the summer!  All you need is a name and a library card to sign up.

Attorney Robert D. Sweeney from Sweeney Law Offices S.C. has generously offered to share his services with the patrons of the Black Creek Village Library!  He specializes in general litigation, real estate law, debtor/creditor, employer/employee relations, business law, estate planning, municipal law, family law, criminal/traffic, and personal injury.  He will be providing free, confidential legal advice the second Monday of every month from 5 – 6:30 pm.  To reserve a 30 minute time slot on August 13th, please sign up in person at the library, call us at (920) 984-3094, or email us at bcl@blackcreeklibrary.org
