First, a few caveats that we must abide by included in the current Safer at Home order:
We still are not able to let patrons inside of the building. Additionally, because delivery service is still not authorized between libraries we are limited to only what is available on our shelves. Patrons must have an existing library card, since we cannot collect signatures from users at this time.
ON TO THE GOOD STUFF:
To start, we will be offering curbside pickup from 10am-1pm Monday through Friday beginning on Monday, May 4th. We hope to increase these hours, but right now we have to abide by the staffing and spacing mandates put forth in Governor Evers’ latest order.
Patrons can call or email (email@example.com) their requests. Right now, we are asking for a limit of 5 items per card per pickup to ensure we can be as efficient as possible and to spread out resources. You can also pick up your holds currently on the hold shelf!
You can still use InfoSoup to determine what we have at the library, but you will be unable to place a hold on it within the catalog as that feature has been disabled.
At your appointed pickup time, we will leave your bundle of materials on the bench at the side of the library you will be parking at. We ask that you do not approach staff or try to return materials unless it is in the outside book drop.
As we only have one phone line, do not hesitate to leave a voicemail if we are on with someone else and we will call you back as soon as possible to get your request moving!
We have a backlog of new items and materials to add that we can tackle now that staff will be in the building so keep checking the catalog!
