Less than two weeks until Winter Break, and we have some fun and exciting activities planned for you. We will be closed Monday, December 24th, and Tuesday, December 25th for Christmas Eve and Christmas, but we’ll back Wednesday, December 26th with Button Making at 1:00 pm (no sign-up necessary.) Thursday, December 27th at 1:00 pm, we have a real magician coming to teach magic tricks! Sign-up is required for this one, and we only have a handful of spots left. Stop in, call (920-984-3094,) email (email@example.com,) or message us on Facebook to reserve your spot! On Friday, December 28th at 1:00 pm, we are decorating tote bags. This activity also requires sign-up so that we can make sure we have enough materials for everyone.
Also on Wednesday, December 26th is the next meeting of the Black Creek Library Page Turners at 1 pm.

For all of you news lovers out there, there are two new resources available from BadgerLink and free to all Wisconsin residents. U.S. Newsstream (https://search.proquest.com/usnews/index) allows users to search the most recent premium U.S.news content, as well as archives which stretch back into the 1980s, including newspapers, newswires, blogs, and news sites. It also offers access to the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as one of the largest collections of local and regional newspapers. Newspapers.com Library Edition – World Collection (https://newscomwc.newspapers.com/#) is an historical newspaper archive from the 1700s - 2000s containing thousands of well-known regional, state, and small local newspapers. This site also works hand in hand with Ancestry.com and allows you clip and save articles and information to your Ancestry.com Tree. You can also download and print articles for scrapbooks or for personal use.
Attorney Robert D. Sweeney from Sweeney Law Offices S.C. has generously offered to share his services with the patrons of the Black Creek Village Library! He specializes in general litigation, real estate law, debtor/creditor, employer/employee relations, business law, estate planning, municipal law, family law, criminal/traffic, and personal injury. He will be providing free, confidential legal advice the second Monday of every month from 5 – 6:30 pm.
