Last month we asked our patrons to make us Happy Cats to celebrate Happy Cat Month. We had the cutest cats on our display! We want to thank everyone who came in and colored a cat - you all did a wonderful job! This month we are asking everyone to color a Jack-o-Lantern for the hallway, so stop by the library to decorate one! Finished Jack-o-Lanterns will be posted for everyone to enjoy!

Thank you to the Davidson Law Office and the Estate Planning Group for coming to the library last Wednesday to answer our questions about legal life planning. Everyone found it extremely informative and we learned about many of the resources we can utilize while planning for the future.

For the month of October we are having a Facebook contest! Each Monday we will post a new Trivial Pursuit game card to our Facebook page.  Then you will have that week (Monday – Saturday) to give us your answers to the week’s current questions. Each correct answer is worth $.10 off of late fees, so you will have a chance to reduce your late fees by $.60 each week if you answer all the questions correctly! At the end of the month the person with the most correct answers will win our grand prize! Check out our Facebook page for the complete details. Our first question was posted today (October 3). You must like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/blackcreekvillagelibrary to play.
