What a busy week we had at the library! On Monday, the reading assistance dog, Tonka was here. We had a big turnout – everyone wanted a turn reading to him! He’ll be here on Mondays all summer, with the exception of the first two weeks in July. Registration is available at the library, over the phone, or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. The spots are filling up quickly!
On Wednesday, we got to spend some time with Fang from the Timber Rattlers, who stopped in to say hi and celebrate the start of summer.
Friday was the Lego Makers Challenge during Friday FunDay. If you missed this one, don’t worry; there is another one coming up July 15th!
It’s not too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program! Sign up began June 7, but we still have lots of people signing up every day.
Another bit of big news this week – we are hiring again, this time for a Substitute Library Clerk. The Substitute Library Clerk would be responsible for working on a rotating Friday and Saturday schedule 1-3 times per month, and for filling in when needed during the week. All interested applicants should fill out an application available at the library, or online at www.blackcreeklibrary.org, and address to: Eva Kozerski, Library Director. Applications must be received no later than Friday, July 1st at 4 PM.
