September is National library card sign up month! If you or someone you know does not have a library card, stop by a library and get one today! They are free and there are so many things you can check out with one! We have more than just books. You can check out movies, magazines, music, and some libraries even carry video games! Plus, if we do not have it here at our library, we are able to get it from another library and have it sent here for you to pick up! How awesome is that?
September is also Kid’s Good Manners Month! Come in and check out our display of books on manners and etiquette.
This is the last week to sign up for the “Booked for Dinner” event! The Friends of the Black Creek Village Library are planning a wonderful dinner and will be discussing the book “Unwind” by Neal Shusterman on October 1st. You can borrow the book from the Black Creek Village Library as well as make your reservation until 4:00 PM Saturday September 24th. A $20.00 donation will reserve your seat for this fantastic evening of food and book discussion. If you have any additional questions about the event; or would like to see the dinner menu, stop by the library today!
Attention those who participated in our Summer Reading Program - if you turned in a reading sheet for the Summer Reading program, but you have not yet picked up your participation prize, you have until September 30th to do so.
