We want to thank everyone who donated items for the “Movers for Moms” campaign. It was a great success and we helped make many moms happy this Mother’s Day.

We have really new and exciting items for you to check out at our library! They are picture books on DVD!  The picture book is narrated while showing the page on the screen with animation. You can play it with or without the words on the screen. They are a great way to help kids work on reading, and they are really fun to watch for both kids and adults! Stop by today and check out our ever growing selection of picture books on DVD.

Have you ever thought about joining our Friends of the Black Creek Village Library group? If so, you can stop by this Thursday, May 18th at 6:30PM to sit in on a meeting and see what it is all about. They are always looking for new members and now is a great time to join! We hope to see you there!

As summer gets closer, we get more excited for our Summer Reading Program!  We have an awesome reading program planned this year where you can earn prizes and tickets for one of the grand prizes. Plus, we have many great activities planned each week for kids and teens. You do not need to be signed up for the Summer Reading Program, or even have a library card to take part in our weekly events.  So pick up a summer event calendar at the library today!

We are just a few weeks away from having the Emmy Award winning duo, Jack and Kitty, visit our library during their 2017 summer tour. Their concert is on June 13th at 1:00PM here at the library. We are very excited to be among the first libraries in the state of Wisconsin for them to visit! We will be having a wonderful time and we hope to see everyone there! They need things like new towels and washcloths, new pillows, new pajamas for women and children, new bath essentials, baby wipes, gift cards for gas or groceries, garbage bags, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, and more. The shelters do have a wish list of items that they need and we have the full list here at the library to view as well as posted here on our website and on our Facebook page.
