January 11, 2020

The second week of January is observed as Home Office Safety and Security Week. We thought it was important to highlight as so many people are working virtually right now. However, everyone can benefit from these ideas and tips-especially as our indoor time increases due to winter and the pandemic.

-Make sure you fire escape plan is up to date and communicated with everyone living with you
-Clear escape routes and other hallways of clutter to avoid trip hazards
-Check both your fire and carbon monoxide detectors
-Ensure that increased technology and devices has not overloaded your electrical systems
-Make sure home insurance and product warranties are up to date
-If possible, shred important and confidential documents
