Welcome to 2021! What a strange, long year it has been. We wish all those in our surrounding community health and hope for the New Year! Please keep reading this column and checking our website and Facebook page for any updates to library hours and services as we continue to navigate back towards “normal.”

As the weather gets (and stays) colder and social distancing remains the norm, look to us for some indoor entertainment! Since Black Creek Village Library is part of the OWLS system, there are always many copies of new release movies to choose from and even plenty of non-fiction options. We also try to purchase television series collections that our community may not be able to see on original airing, such as those found on streaming services or premium channels like Netflix, Hulu or HBO.

Younger children and families can get some enjoyable learning time with our backpack kits. These have such themes as: colors, learning about money, health and nutrition and more! And don’t forget to ask about what we are currently offering for activity and craft kits-these have been very popular this winter!

Heard “buzzing” about a book or movie in the media recently? Give us a call and see if it is in the system! If not, we certainly want to know, as public libraries try to purchase a variety of materials and want to stay abreast of what the public is interested in!

Our current curbside-only hours are:
M-Th: 9am-7pm
Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 9am-12pm
