This month, our displays feature books from The Great American Read - a new PBS series. They polled the nation to find the 100 best-loved novels, and now they’re challenging all book lovers to read the 100 books on the list and vote for their favorite. The list is incredibly diverse, and includes favorites from Anne of Green Gables to Twilight – from Gone with the Wind to Gone Girl. A winner will be chosen by the end of this 8-part series concluding in October. Vote online at https://www.pbs.org/the-great-american-read/vote/#, or through hashtag voting via Facebook and Twitter. This fall, voting will extend to SMS and toll-free voting. For more information, check out https://www.pbs.org/the-great-american-read/home/. To grab a copy of the complete list of books, visit our circulation desk, and don’t forget to check out one of the classics on display!
