Foreword: March 7, 2019

It’s March!!  Does this mean that all of the snow and cold will finally start to go away?  We hope so, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding this winter during our many closures due to terrible roads and weather conditions.  Hang in there - spring is just weeks away!

Our table topic this month is: What is your favorite thing about spring?

Share your answer with us for a prize.  You will also receive a prize for working on our hallway project.  This month, it’s a create-a-fruit challenge.  We can’t wait to see all of your creative ideas!

We have some fantastic adult programs lined up for this spring.  Save the date for Wednesday evening, April 10th if you’re interested in learning more about DIY Homemade Cleaners hosted by our very own Lori Amerson!  Stay tuned for more information.  On Thursday evening, May 9th we’ll be hosting a Neighborworks Budgeting seminar.  Watch for more information on both of these great programs, as well as a few others coming up later this year.

Check out the new St. Patrick’s Day themed raffle basket sponsored by the Friends of the Black Creek Village Library.  This lovely green-filled basket contains so many fun and delicious goodies, including a green travel cup, a mug & hot cocoa, a Green Bay Packer scarf, a pair of wine glasses, 2 St. Paddy’s Day scarves, shamrock towels, treats, stickers, toys, and much more!  As always tickets are $0.25 each or 5 for $1.00.

Don’t forget, this is the last week to drop off donations for the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive.  These donations will help those in need in the communities where they are donated.

The next meeting of the Black Creek Library Page Turners is Wednesday, March 27th at 1 pm.  This month, we’re reading the classic, The Time Machine by H.G. Wells, about a turn-of-the-century scientist who builds a time machine that takes him on a perilous journey into the far distant future.  Copies of The Time Machine are available at the circulation desk for checkout.  If you’re unable to join us in person for the discussion, you can still participate online in our Facebook discussion:
