Foreword: November 7, 2019

Halloween is over, the leaves are just about history and it has already snowed. Welcome to the Holiday Season! Looking for something to put you in the spirit? Take a glance at our holiday-themed books and movies display near the front desk! Can you smell the hot cocoa yet?

We also have pulled out some coffee-table style books for your perusal. These tend to sometimes get lost in our stacks because of their size and shape! Lots of subjects are represented from artists to war to magazine covers.

The Friends of the Library have a new basket out! Filled with festive tableware and holiday décor, the winner of this basket will also receive some delicious treats and a gift card for Sal’s! Get your tickets at the library, five for a dollar or a quarter each.

This month’s table topic is: what is your favorite smell? We call dibs on “new book smell!” Earn a scented pencil for sharing with us! For the hallway project, participants will caption one of four different fun photos having to do with libraries and reading-winners of the caption contest will have theirs made into a meme and shared on Facebook!

Fact of the Week: Tomorrow, November 8th is “Cook Something Bold” day! Everyone has their own definition of bold when it comes to food, but come down and check out our large selection of cookbooks where you are sure to find something new to try!
