Who’s excited for the Friends of the Black Creek Village Library’s Annual Book and Bake Sale this weekend, October 19th & 20th? There will be something for everyone – from cookbooks and craft books to mysteries, suspense, and romance novels. They also have a ton of children’s books for sale, along with DVDs, CDs, magazines, and more! Don’t forget to check out the delicious array of desserts before you leave - after all, what better way to enjoy your new books than with a plate of bars, brownies, cupcakes, or cookies?
October’s Spooktacular Raffle Basket is here! This Halloween-themed basket is filled to overflowing with wonderful goodies, including a treat bag filled with candies, cookies, and snacks, a giant pair of cat eye glasses and green press-on fingernails to enhance your costume, glow sticks for safety on dark nights, pumpkin leaf bags for your lawn, 3 black resin pumpkins that spell out “BOO” for your home, a mug and hot cocoa mix to warm up cold fingers, activity books, a stuffed bear, and much, much more! As always, tickets are $0.25 each or 5 for $1.00, and proceeds go to support your library.
Guess what, kids? There is no school on Friday, October 26th, and we’re celebrating with a Halloween movie day! Join us for a family-friendly movie from 1-3 pm, and then stick around for an exciting game of Deal or No Deal from 3:15-5 pm.
