Lawyer in the Library

Attorney Robert D. Sweeney from Sweeney Law Offices S.C. has generously offered to share his services with the patrons of the Black Creek Village Library!  He specializes in general litigation, real estate law, debtor/creditor, employer/employee relations, business law, estate planning, municipal law, family law, criminal/traffic, and personal injury.  He will providing free, confidential consultations the second Monday of every month from 5 – 6:30 pm.  To reserve a 30 minute time slot, please sign up in person at the library, call us at (920) 984-3094, or email us at bcl@blackcreeklibrary.org

Baby/Toddler StoryTime!

Join  us for Storytime!  Books, crafts, songs, rhymes, puppets, and fun with friends!

Baby/Toddler Storytime is geared towards children from birth through toddlerhood, and their grownups. It involves stories, songs, crafts, songs, rhymes, puppets, meeting new friends, and having fun.

Preschool StoryTime

Preschool Storytime is geared toward preschool aged children and their grownups. It involves stories, songs, crafts, songs, rhymes, puppets, meeting new friends, and having fun.

Flash Friday

Join us from 3:30pm to 5pm for Flash Fridays!!  This program is during the school year only. The schedule is: 1st Friday: Lego Fun; 2nd Friday: Cartoons and Coloring; 3rd Friday: Craft Day and the 4th Friday of the month will be Game Day! On the occasion that we have a 5th Friday in the month, it will be librarian's choice!

Knitting!

Thursday 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Meet and visit with fellow knitters in the Black Creek area!

Join us as we share in the trials and triumphs of knitting!

All levels welcome. Don't Knit? Come and learn! Bring size 7 or 8 needles.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Black Creek Village Library Challenges You to Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten!!

Do you read at home with your child?

Come sign up for our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Program!

This is a program to promote reading with your child at home.  Did you know that research shows the most helpful thing you can do to prepare your child for learning is to read together?

It’s simple!

Each time you read a book, record it in the provided reading log. Then, after you and your child have read 100 books (completed your reading log), turn it in at the library. We will give you and your child a new reading log. Each child will have a paper book displayed at the front of the library for tracking progress. When your young reader has reached the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten goal, he or she will receive a special prize and have his or her picture taken for the Library’s 1,000 books wall of fame.    

*If you read one story before bed every night, that’s 365 books!  Don’t forget, if you re-read a favorite that counts as two!
