Black Creek Village Library is hosting a scavenger hunt this summer in partnership with local businesses. To get started, stop into the library to pick up an answering sheet, which has clues to each location. Next, look for signs posted at participating businesses. The signs have a letter and a number. Record the letter posted at each location in the numbered blank. (Signs will be visible from outside the businesses and will be posted in a window or on the side of their building.) Signs will be posted through August 9. Once you have the answer, turn in the completed sheet to the library with your name and contact information no later than August 15. We’ll draw a winner for prize package (which includes gift certificates to local businesses and items donated by local businesses) on Friday, August 16.
Youth are invited to join us on Tuesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. for our Crafty Creations program. Participants will create a set of ceramic coasters they will decorate with Sharpies. On Tuesday, July 16, youth can participate in the Famous Landmarks STEAM Challenge. Pictures of famous landmarks will provide the inspiration for youth, who will try to re-create them with lego, Keva planks, play dough, or cardboard. Can they build it? We’ll find out!
Storytime resumes Thursday, July 11 at 10:15 a.m. Children and caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, silliness, and more!
Please remember library is closed on Saturdays through Labor Day weekend.
