We had a fantastic time during Chad Lewis’ visit last Wednesday. We thank Chad for coming to our library with stories of the paranormal from our state and from around the Midwest. It was a very interesting, yet spooky night.
Congratulations to Paige for winning the kid’s challenge prize basket! We hope you enjoy all the goodies!
This week on Wednesday, April 12th at 6:00PM, we will be learning techniques to help reduce the risk of dementia. Join us as we learn the steps of the ENRICH Program. The ENRICH program is a 4-step program that was designed for adults who want to lower their risk of dementia. This program is being offered at the Black Creek Village Library free of charge.
Remember, you have until the library closes on Wednesday, April 12th, to RSVP for the Friends of the Black Creek Village Library’s Booked for Dinner event featuring the book “The Dinner” by Herman Koch. This great event takes place on April 22 at 6:00PM. There are a few spots remaining and you can RSVP with your $20.00 tax deductible donation. We do have copies of the book here at the library for you to borrow.
We are helping with the Movers for Moms program sponsored by Two Men and A Truck. They are collecting items for the House of Hope, Harbor House, and the Christine Ann Center. The purpose of the program is to recognize moms living in shelters this Mother’s Day by arranging a delivery of small gifts. You can drop off items here at the library any time before May 12th.
As a reminder, we will be closed on Saturday, April 15 for the observance of Easter.
