This is the time of year that you can start to feel a real change in the weather, football has begun, the days are becoming noticeably shorter, and soon the leaves will begin to show their colors. It is the perfect time of year to borrow a new book to read from the library! We have a vast variety of new non-fiction titles; making it a perfect time to come in and see our fantastic selection of self-help, biographies, and do-it-yourself books!
This is the week for our FREE event on how to make authentic Cornhusk dolls! On Thursday September 15 at 5:30PM we will be hosting a representative from the Oneida Nation Museum to learn about the background and artistry of cornhusk dolls. We will even be making our own! We do have a few spots left and we are asking that people pre-register so we can make sure everyone has a kit to make a doll. You can sign up in person, by phone at 920-984-3094, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Don’t delay, sign up today for this very unique opportunity!
On October 1st our friends of the Library will be hosing their “Booked for Dinner” event! They will be having a wonderful dinner and discussing the novel “Unwind” by Neal Shusterman. A $20 donation to the Friends of the Black Creek Library will reserve your seat to this event. If you are interested in attending you must RSVP at the Black Creek Village Library by September 24th. We do have copies of the book on hand for you to borrow. If you have any questions about the event or would like to see the dinner menu, stop by the library today!
