Foreword – October 3, 2022

You may have noticed a growing gap in the adult fiction collection. We’re temporarily compressing the adult fiction collection (toward the end of the alphabet) to prepare for a shelving unit swap. We’re going to take the unit of four shelves along the wall in teen and swap it for the unit of six shelves in the adult fiction area. This will provide more shelf space and physical space for the teens and the teen collection without impacting the adult collection too much. The only catch is that we have to empty those shelving units (plus the one perpendicular to the wall), move them to their new homes, and put all of the books back. The library will be closed the morning of Wednesday, October 19 to move the shelves and start putting things back in order. Library hours on Wednesday, October 19 will be noon-7:00 PM. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience as we make final preparations the previous day.

Storytime is back on Thursdays at 10:15 AM. Children and their caregivers are welcome to join us for stories, songs, and more!

The library is hosting after-school programs for youth on Tuesday afternoons, 3:30-4:30. Nailed It is next on the rotation on Tuesday, October 4, and participants will put their construction skills to the test. Game On! follows on Tuesday, October 11.
