Foreword – April 3, 2023

We’re excited to introduce the new InfoSoup app! Download the app to your device, enter your library card information, and you’re able to do everything you could do on the InfoSoup website in a convenient app. In addition, it creates a digital library card on your phone that you can present for checkout. Finally, it provides access to information on library programs and events. Stop into or call the library for assistance.

The library is hosting an open house on Thursday, April 13, 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM. We are inviting members of the community—and we’d love to see people who aren’t yet library users—to see what’s new at the library and learn more about our programs and services. We’ve freshened our look over the last year or so with furnishings that will allow for more flexibility as we make use of our library space. Activities include a scavenger hunt that answers a riddle, bookmarks to color, and the ever-present possibility of discovering the book or movie you didn’t know that you needed. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Black Creek Village Library.

There’s still time to submit art to our mini-art show! Pick up a mini (3”x 3”) canvas and the library and return completed canvases is April 18 to participate.

Congratulations to Zelda D., who completed 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten!

Storytime continues on Thursdays at 10:15, and our Tuesday slate of after school programs continue at 3:30 each week.
