Foreword – February 19, 2024

Did you know that February is Library Lover’s Month? The feeling is mutual. We’re grateful to our library users, who show their appreciation every time they visit the library.

Black Creek Village Library is serving as a collection point for the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive. This drive helps stock the shelves of homeless and crisis programs in area communities, including Seymour. New, used hygiene or cleaning supplies may be put in the collection box at the library through Saturday, March 2. High demand items include soaps (laundry, dish, soft, shower gel), toilet paper, paper towels, soft toothbrushes, toothpaste, and trash bags.

Want to get a jumpstart on spring planting but aren’t sure how? Don’t want to invest in heat mats and grow lights? Attend our upcoming Winter Sowing Workshop, presented by Outagamie County Master Gardeners on Wednesday, February 21 at 6 p.m. This hands-on workshop will show you how to start seeds now using supplies most households have on hand with an assist from Mother Nature. Participants will learn about winter sowing of native perennials and annual flowers and vegetables, then build mini greenhouses out of milk jugs and plant them with seeds. Space is limited and registration is required. You may register by calling the library at 920-984-3094.

Storytime continues on Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. Young children and their caregivers are invited to come for stories, songs, silliness, and more!
