Foreword – October 16, 2023

This week is National Friends of the Library Week, and we’d like to say a big “Thank you!” to the Friends for all they do to support Black Creek Village Library. One great way they support the library is the Friends’ annual book sale, which is this week—Thursday, October 19-Saturday, October 21. Shop at the sale to support the Friends and the Library and add to your personal collection all at the same time!

Calling all adult (and older teen) aspiring painters! Come and breakout your paintbrushes and your artistic skills. We’re hosting a Paint Night on Friday, November 3 (6:30 PM-8:00 PM), and participants will be painting a subject! Registration is required and space is limited. The deadline to secure a spot is Monday, October 30, but we may be able to accommodate late registrants on a first-come, first served basis. Please contact the library at 920-984-3094 or stop in to sign up.

After school programs continue on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. Wired (October 19) features Ozobots. Put your coding skills to work to set the ozobot on the path you choose. Attendees of Crafterparty (October 26) will create a spooky cemetery. Moss, gravestones, and even little ghosts will be provided.

Storytime continues on Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. Young children and their caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, activities, and more! Black Creek Village Library will be closed on Monday, October 23 for staff training. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, October 24.
