Do you love your library? Fantastic! February is National Library Love Month, and we love our Black Creek Library and patrons! We’ve been celebrating with make-your-own Valentines at the library. Stop by all month and make your own valentine to take or leave one for the library. Make sure to tell a staff member what you love most about your library.
A lot of fun has been happening at BCL lately, and we hope to see it continue. Earlier this month we were visited by celebrated children’s author, Baptiste Paul who read his colorful book “To Carnival!”. The sights and sounds of the vibrant island of Saint Lucia, Paul’s homeland, came to life for the audience. We ended the island adventure with a Q&A with the author and Carnival mask making. We hope to enjoy more author visits in the future.
Make sure to come into the library and get your winter reading challenges before they are due on February 28th. There are challenges available for every age group starting at five years old! Complete your challenge and be entered into a raffle for a book-lovers prize basket made possible by the Friends of the Black Creek Library!
Hope to see you at the library!
