Forward January 20, 2025

Books are a way of traveling to distant places. We have two upcoming events that will take you on travels to Germany and St. Lucia in the Caribbean.

Saturday, January 25 at 9:30 we are welcoming local author Tammy Borden. Tammy will be discussing her historical novel; “Waltraud: A True Story of Growing Up in Nazi Germany.”  It is a sweeping family story that peeks behind the curtain on what life was like before, during and after WWll from the perspective of a German citizen. Please join us.

Our second event will be on Thursday, February 6 at 12:30. Enjoy Storytime with celebrated children’s author; Baptiste Paul. Baptiste was born and raised on the Caribbean Island of St Lucia, but now lives in Bellevue, WI. He writes picture books that encourage children to make a positive change in the world. Bring your lunch and enjoy a special reading and craft with Baptiste.

The after-school program on Monday, January 20 from 4:00 to 5:00 is “Popsicle Stick Narwhals.” Are you ready to create your new pet? Next week you will have to dust off your dancing shoes for “Disco” at the library. Stop in and let your creative juices flow.

Storytime on Friday January 24 at 10:15 will have fun activities and stories, all about snowflakes.

Just a closing thought; books are gifts that bring joy, allow you to see the world in a new way and something you never want to end (especially an interesting one!)

Stop in and check out your new adventure.
