Foreword – July 24, 2023

We’re asking members of our community and service area to complete a community survey to help us know how we can serve you better. We’d like to hear from adult library users and non-users to learn more about what you think of the library, what services and resources you most appreciate, and identify areas in which the library can learn and grow. All who complete the survey will have the option of providing their name and contact information to be entered in a drawing for one of four, $25 Amazon gift cards. (Thank you to the Friends for providing the gift cards!) The link to the digital survey can be found on the library website and Facebook page. Paper copies of the survey are available upon request at the library. The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, August 20.

Calling all current and aspiring code breakers! Registration for our next escape room—Breakout the Alien Code—is underway. Hourly time slots are available starting at noon on Thursday, August 3 through Saturday, August 5. Space is limited, and registration is required. Please contact the library at 920-984-3094 or stop in to sign up. This event is family friendly, but success is more likely when the group includes a few middle/high school students or adults.

Calling all shark enthusiasts! The library has been overrun with an infestation of sharks and they have brought several activities with them in honor of Shark Week! Come down to the library July 24-29 to hunt them down in a Shark Scavenger Hunt, make your way through shark infested waters, stick your head inside a shark’s mouth, and several other activities that will be happening this week! SINK your teeth into some fun and pick up a book while you are here! The sharks are only planning to stay for one week and one week only and will be gone with the tides on Sunday along with all their fun. So come on out while they are still prowling for biting reads.

Storytime continues at its regular time—10:15 AM on Thursday. Join us as we feature community helpers each week!

Our drop-in activity this week is kindness jars.

Youth will create butterfly sun catchers during our youth program on Tuesday, July 25 at 2:00 PM.

The library is hiring! We’re looking for a substitute library clerk. Please see our website or stop in the library for more information.
