Foreword – July 1, 2024

It’s hard to believe July is already here!

We do not have any in person programs this week, but regular programs resume next week. Youth are invited to join us on Tuesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. for our Crafty Creations program. Participants will create a set of ceramic coasters they will decorate with Sharpies. For those who are a bit more adventurous, they can add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to see what effect it has on the ink.

Storytime resumes on Thursday, July 11 at 10:15 a.m. Children and caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, silliness, and more! This week, we’ll explore adventures you can create using your imagination!

It’s not too late to register for our Summer Library Challenge. We have challenges for all ages groups that encourage reading, getting active, and engaging with others. All youth who register for the Summer Library Challenge may choose a book to keep.

Did you hear about the InfoSoup Library Road Trip? Stop into the library to get started by picking up a booklet. As you visit InfoSoup libraries through Labor Day weekend and meet the participation criteria, you can collect one stamp per library. For each set of ten stamps, you receive and entry for a prize drawing.

The library will be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Please remember our hours have changes for the summer! The library is closed on Saturdays through Labor Day weekend.
