Have you marked your calendar yet for Saturday, January 25 at 9:30? This is the day the library is welcoming local author Tammy Borden. Tammy states that she has always had a vivid imagination, something she used from a small child to create stories. Her mother was a main source of information for her writing. Tammy spent years documenting and recording her mother’s memories from a childhood in Nazi Germany. From these memories comes Tammy’s historical novel; “Waltraud: A True Story of Growing Up in Nazi Germany.”
Tammy enjoys a second hobby; one she describes bordering on being an obsession; gardening. Her love of nature and gardening stems from her mother. Be sure to join us on the 25th for a very special morning.
The after-school program on Monday, January 13 from 4:00 to 5:00 is “Magic Knuudle Creations.” You may ask, what is a knuudle? Magic knuudles are colorful pieces of foam that when wet will stick together. What will you create? Looking forward to January 20, the activity will be “Popsicle Stick Narwhals.”
What do you call a polar bear on thin ice? An ice breaker” Storytime on Friday January 17 at 10:15 will have more fun activities and stories, all about polar bears.
Just one more for the road. What is a polar bear’s favorite snack? Ice burgers.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the library.
