Forward December 16, 2024

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us. We have cookies to bake, trees to trim and presents to wrap. Do you ever stop to enjoy the smells of the holidays?

We are entering the final week of programming at the library. Stop in for Storytime on Thursday, December 19 at 10:15. Stories and activities are all about Snowmen.

The after-school program on Thursday, December 19 from 3:30-4:30 will test your creativity and your building skills. Stop in to build a cardboard Gingerbread village.

The Crochet Club will meet on Monday, December 16 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. This will be the final meeting. All yarn enthusiasts are welcome but specific instruction and help is limited to crocheting. Whether the Crochet Club will continue in the new year has yet to be determined.

Back to the question – do you take time to enjoy the smells of the holidays?  I encourage you to slow down and enjoy the smell of cookies baking, the pine of a freshly cut tree, the minty smell of peppermint and my favorite, the mingling of the warm spices of cinnamon and ginger found in gingerbread. ENJOY!!
